What Is The Preparatory Hanyu Pinyin Programme All About?

This programme is especially crafted to prepare the graduating K2 children for the demands of Primary school Mandarin. This course is aimed at improving the children’s Chinese pronunciation through a collection of fun and interactive activities.
The programme aims to help children master the precise, accurate and logical system of Hanyu Pinyin and apply this into their learning of the language.

Who Is The Programme For?

For children aged between 6 yrs and above

What Is The Duration And Frequency Of The Class?

This programme consists of 12 lessons. Each session is 1 hour long and will be conducted one each week. Classes that fall on public holidays or centre closure dates will be replaced.

Where Will The Programme Be Held?

For Learning Vision children: At selected Learning Vision childcare centres.
For Public children: At the Learning Horizon Education Hub in The Grassroots’ Club.

Four tones
Recognize Pinyin characters
Consonant sounds
Vowel sounds
Reading with Hanyu Pinyin
Spelling with Hanyu Pinyin

What Can The Children Get From Participating In The Creative Hanyu Pinyin Programme?

Structured scheme of work and lesson plans given to each tutor to ensure consistency of delivery
Use of workbooks and teaching aids (where necessary) to enhance understanding of lessons
Homework will not be given to the students (unless the child is very weak and lacks the foundation)

Who Will Be Conducting The Lessons?

Our teachers are qualified native speakers of Mandarin and have a wide base of skills and experience. They are experts in their respective fields and work closely with the MOE curriculum.

What Is The Minimum/Maximum Number Per Class?

Minimum: 8, Maximum: 12

How Do We Register?

Parents can register by one of the following ways:

Come down to the centre to fill up the registration form and make payment
 
Mail their cheques and registration form
 
Mail their cheques and fax the registration form

How Do We Pay?

Payments can be made via cash or cheque directly to their respective centres.
 
For Learning Vision children: Cheques should be crossed and made payable to your respective centres.
 
For Public children: Cheques should be crossed and made payable to ‘Learning Horizon Pte Ltd’
