What Is @rt Sparks – Art Appreciation Course All About?

@rt Sparks – Art Appreciation Course is a dynamic programme that aims to spark interest in the Arts among children. It is a 3 module course that is designed to instil an appreciation for the finer things in life and allow for creative expression.
Art projects progress from abstract 2-dimensional to concrete 3-dimensional format. The three modules are:
  Module 1: The Masters of Abstract Art
Module 2: The Mysteries of Asian Art
Module 3: The Masters of Sculpture and Architecture
The course is designed so that children can explore the expressive potential of a variety of areas. Through guided exploration in the classroom, they use their experiences and knowledge to explore and express their ideas visually using a variety of tools and mediums. Children find out what they can do with different materials and the potentials of a creative mind.
This course also provides an excellent opportunity to develop and encourage the children’s self-confidence; they learn that their artistic expressions are unique and special.

Who Is The Course For?

For children aged between 5 to 12 yrs

What Is The Duration And Frequency Of The Class?

A module consists of 8 sessions. Each session is 1 hour long and will be conducted one each week.

Where Will The Course Be Held?

For Learning Vision children: At selected Learning Vision childcare centres.
For Public children: At the Learning Horizon Education Hub in The Grassroots’ Club.
   

5.

What Activities Can My Child Look Forward To?

The children will learn a wide variety of techniques in painting, sculpting, and crafting in the different modules. They will learn to sketch out drawings, work with a variety of materials, use different brush strokes, blend colors, paint on canvas, learn about aesthetics, as well as the individual styles of the masters in Art history.

What Can The Children Get From Participating In @rt Sparks – Art Appreciation Course?

The children will learn the entire process of art creation on their own through the pieces they create. The activities help improve fine motor skills and lengthen the children’s ability to focus on their creative work. They get to work with various creative mediums and express ideas clearly in a visual format setting the foundation development in fine art appreciation and techniques.
This course will help the children develop their inherent creativity and self-confidence. They will learn new ways to perceive the world. Children are encouraged to value and respect their own perceptions, observations, emotions, and intuition. They not only build skills, but become more comfortable and confident in meeting the challenges of aesthetic self-expression.

Who Will Be Conducting The Lessons?

Our trainers are experienced art educators and artists who offer children the ability to communicate ideas, connect with their imaginations, and experience life in creative terms. They employ techniques that liberate and deepen the children’s power of expression and challenge them to reconcile the powers of emotion and intuition with intellectual ability.

Minimum: 5, Maximum: 10

How Do We Register?

Parents can register by one of the following ways:
 
1. For Learning Vision children:
 
Come down to the centre to fill up the registration form and make payment
 
Mail their cheques and registration form
 
Mail their cheques and fax the registration form
   
 
2. For Public children:

How Do We Pay?

Payments can be made via cash or cheque directly to their respective centres.
 
For Learning Vision children: Cheques should be crossed and made payable to your respective centres.
 
For Public children: Cheques should be crossed and made payable to ‘Learning Horizon Pte Ltd’
