Enrolment & Withdrawal Matters

  1. To confirm the place for your child, there will be:
  2. We will refund in full the material and uniform fees (provided these are return to us in the original condition), insurance premium as well as the deposit for any withdrawal before class starts except the registration fee. The first month’s service fee will be refunded based on the following:

  3. The first month of enrolment is the trial period for your child. If for any reason you wish to withdraw your child from the centre, you only need to inform the Centre and withdrawal can be immediate. The deposit will be returned to you in full once the withdrawal is confirmed.
  4. In the event you wish to withdraw or transfer your child, you have to observe the following conditions: A written notice of at least one calendar month must be given if parents wish to withdraw their child from the centre anytime between end of February to October, failing which the deposit will be forfeited. This notice of withdrawal should be submitted no later than the first working day of the month. Monthly service fees will be charged for the final month, regardless of whether the child has been attending school. If you would like to withdraw your child at the end of the year, you will need to give the centre two full calendar months’ notice instead of the usual one month. Parents who submit their withdrawal notice after first October automatically gives the centre two full calendar months’ notice, failing which their deposit will be forfeited.

  5. Deposit will be refunded to the parent if the following withdrawal conditions are satisfied:
    1. Your child withdraws during the first month of enrolment
    2. Your child withdraws after the first month but gives a written one-month calendar notice on the first working day of the month (or two calendar months’ notice for withdrawals in November & December)
    3. Upon your child’s graduation from the program, provided you have no outstanding payment
    Deposit will be returned in a form of a cheque written to the name as indicated on the copy of your NRIC which you are require to submit together with the withdrawal form. The cheque will be mailed by the 20th of the following month.
  6. When a child’s or parent’s behaviour threatens the safety of other children and staff in the Centre, we retain the right to cease the child’s enrolment from the Centre immediately. In addition, repeated failure to pay the monthly service fees on time may also result in immediate termination of service.
  7. A temporary withdrawal is permitted on a case by case basis and subject to approval by the Centre. A one-calendar month’s notice must be given for any temporary withdrawal. We do not allow for any temporary withdrawal of more than 2 months. Please note that a minimum of 2 week’s service fee will still be levied for any temporary withdrawal of 1 month or less unless it is due to a prolonged medical condition.

Administrative and Finance Matters

  1. Payment can be made either via cash or cheque. For cheque payments, kindly issue to ‘Learning Horizon Pte Ltd’. Please note that we do not accept post-dated cheques. Payment must be made by the first class day of the month. A charge of $5.00 per day will be imposed for all late payments. Deposits cannot be used to offset payment of service fees.
  2. A full month’s fee is payable each month regardless of attendance, as long as your child is enrolled in the Centre. No pro-ration of service fees will be given.
  3. The centre does not refund fees, partially or in full, for any centre closures, voluntary or otherwise, and public holidays or postponement of classes. If the centre is required to remain closed continuously over a period of 1 week or more, the Centre will make-up for the “loss of lesson times” by providing equivalent home-based lessons or activities for the parents to conduct at home (note: applicable only for Playgroup classes). For enrichment classes, any postponed sessions will be replaced at the next available date on the same day and time. If any parent is unable to attend the scheduled replacement class after being provided with a one-month notice in writing, no refunds, partially or in full, will be made.
  4. The Centre will be closed on gazetted public holidays and an additional 5½ days for staff training, spring cleaning, Teachers’ Day etc. Additionally, the Playgroup and Preparatory School (Weekday) classes will also be closed for one week in March and September, and two weeks in June and December. Other enrichment programs follow their respective calendar that will be given out on the first day of class.
  5. The Centre reserves the right to use photographs and or work samples of children for any media releases or publication.
  6. The Centre reserves the right to adjust class schedules or teachers assigned if the need arises.
  7. The Centre reserves the right to cease or combine classes, or adjust class schedule should the class size falls below the minimum.
