
Adventure Programme
Young Xplorers
For children 5 - 12 years old
Objective
Young Xplorers is an outdoor adventure program organised by Learning Horizon engaging the expertise of SAFRA Adventure Sports Centre (SASC). Offered to children between the ages of 5 - 6 years old, this specially designed ½ day outdoor program will fully engage children as an individual to overcome their personal challenges.
The programme enables the children to engage in various adventure activities. This is specifically aimed at boosting the level of self-confidence of these pre-schoolers who will be transiting from kindergarten to primary school.
Programme Activities
The fun activities include going through the Canopy Challenge Walk and the climb up the Slab-Wall. After the activities, there are recap sessions where the children will be asked to draw out the key learning points of the activity.
Programme Schedule
The programme is conducted over ½ day from 9.30am to 12.30pm or 2pm to 5pm.

ADVENTURESCAPE
For children 7 - 12 years old
Objectives
ADVENTURESCAPE is an outdoor adventure program organised by Learning Horizon engaging the expertise of SAFRA Adventure Sports Centre (SASC). Offered to children between the ages of 7 - 12 years old, this specially designed one-day outdoor program will fully engage students as a team to completing all the given challenges and tasks, progressing from simple to demanding ones.
Programme Skills
The program provide opportunities for the students on the Development of Trust, Brainstorming as a Group and Fostering of Mutual Support while attempting some of the more difficult yet safe challenges such as the Canopy Challenge Walk and Slab Climbing, followed each time by debriefs to drive home the important learning points.
This program is Interactive and Experiential in nature. It employs an adventure-oriented “Learning by Doing” approach to meet the following program objectives:

AdventureMates
For parents and children aged 5 yrs and above
AdventureMates is another outdoor adventure program organised by Learning Horizon engaging the expertise of SAFRA Adventure Sports Centre (SASC). It is designed as a Parent & Child programme and it focuses on nurturing the bond between parent and child through adventure-based activities that can be enjoyed by the whole family while at the same time allowing them to work together as a family unit.
Objectives
The participants of this programme will be treated to a fun time the outdoors. Team building exercises will be conducted to foster a cohesive team spirit through enhancing the level of trust and communication as a family unit.
This fun experience will be brought about through an interactive and experiential learning in a physically, intellectually and emotionally safe environment. The programme uses an adventure-oriented “learning by doing” approach to meet the course objectives. This means that the participants will be placed out of their comfort zones and will accomplish the course objectives by doing and reviewing their experience.
Programme Activities
The fun activities include going through the Canopy Challenge Walk and the climb up the Slab-Wall. After the activities, there are recap sessions where the participants will be asked to draw out the key learning points of the activity. The groups will come together to present the learning points in three areas: In School, At Home, On Life’s Journey
Upon completion, each participant will receive a Certificate of Achievement and will go away with memories of a fun time spent together.
